- Modeling and Simulation
- Program Management
- Rapid Prototyping
- Ballistic Testing
- Armor Development
- System Integration
We utilize the latest in computer aided design (CAD) and modeling, which allows armor to be fit to a virtual body or chassis, reducing costs and time during product development. Digital information from the components are fed automatically into our CNC (robotic) cutting machines, enabling individual parts to be cut automatically and with exceptional accuracy. Our laser scanners automatically check these individual parts for Quality Assurance, eliminating human error from hand measurements.
Our advanced materials science expertise allows us to create optimized armor systems not only for ground vehicles, but also for individual soldiers, aircraft and seating systems. We leverage our knowledge of the building blocks of materials to select and assemble these elements into complex, multi-component armor systems.
Mobility & Protection Systems entities have conducted ballistic, dynamic, static and materials testing since 1978. As an integral part of the armor development process, our experienced test engineers and technicians conduct in-house ballistics testing in state-of-the-art ballistic test labs for government agency, military and civilian customers. These ranges are approved for qualification testing of armor products by the United States Department of Defense (DoD). Testing is conducted in accordance with MIL Spec or National Institute of Justice (NIJ) standards. In addition, the Federal Aviation Administration accepts development and certification testing from our aerospace testing facility.
